The One & Only Esther GeorgeI am the middle child in a family of five. My two sisters and I were born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Our family moved to Missouri in 2008 because my dad became a Methodist Pastor. My family has moved around MO a lot because of my dad's job, but Minnesota will always be home.
We had a Boston Terrier named Kisses, my first dog, whom we all loved very dearly that passed away in June of 2019. Now, we have two more Boston Terriers named Truman and Sophie. Truman is currently training with my mom to be a therapy dog! My older sister, Rachel, is studying to be a nurse, and my younger sister, Mary, is on the surgical dermatology track. And then there's me. I am still figuring out what I want to do with my future. Right now I am pursuing a career in biology research. However, I know that whatever I do, I want to change the world. Figuring out a major and minors to pursue at Drury was a step in the right direction! Soon, I will be headed to Grad school and hopefully end up in the lab or in the field aiding in research for the betterment of the environment and mankind (but especially the environment). I have been a part of honors schooling my whole life, starting with an honors program called Quest that I attended from 3rd through 7th grade. Then, I dedicated my secondary schooling to accelerated/weighted honors classes, graduating Salutatorian of my class in 2017.
I love reading, sleeping, eating, being outdoors or being on-stage involved in theatre, music, musical theatre, you get the idea. Since I started my education at Drury, I have been in several musicals and straight plays as well as on crew for both. I have also joined Alpha Psi Omega, the honors theatre community, and Tri Beta, the honors biology community. I definitely plan on staying involved in theatre and biology (if nothing else) as I continue my college career. |
